
Across all three divisions of college lacrosse in New England, most playoff games earlier this week went down to the wire.
That's what tends to happen this time of year when the intensity ratchets up a notch or two and teams become desperate to extend their seasons. Especially the seniors, all they want is one more day to keep on playing the fastest growing game in America.
But for some groups, that also ended in heartbreak. Their NCAA tournament hopes – and more tangibly, conference tournament ones – were nipped in the bud. Those emotions are still raw and will take weeks, if not months, to go away. After all, their seasons are now over.
