This summer, I embarked on a journey across the local summer recruiting landscape for the fourth time. “Local,” of course, being the operative word as I kept within the bounds of New England and narrowed my focus to regional talents.
All told I saw well over 50 club teams play across eight different events. That may seem like a lot, and it is for just one person, but there are still other tournaments that I wish I could have gone to, and players that I wish I could have seen more than once or twice across the last three months.
So take these positional watch lists with those generous grains of salt.
I don’t create rankings and I don’t use stars. I picked these players by how much they impressed me on the day, or days, that I saw them. No one else influenced my rankings; these are my opinions as a 12-year college coach and a four-year high school coach.
