Last year's CIAC stars have moved onto the college lacrosse ranks.
That means no more Logan McGovern (Darien, Conn.), as the 2018 Connecticut State Player of the Year and attackman is now at Bryant. Same goes for faceoff specialist Nick Crovatto (New Canaan, Conn.), who's now at Bucknell. And, yep, you called it with Evan Zinn (Westport, Conn.), a midfielder at Johns Hopkins.
While the presence of each will be missed, it's time for new stars to emerge in the CIAC. With valued input from several coaches, New England Lacrosse Journal has highlighted 20 players who fit that description across the state.
Powered by the lacrosse factory that is Fairfield County, sophomores, juniors and seniors are all featured within. Others are bound to impress, but preseason buzz is high among this group.
