Top 10: Tufts No. 1 as NESCAC heavyweights set to clash

The last weekend of March was one for the NESCAC heavyweights to thump their chests.

Four of the five teams in our rankings – Amherst, Tufts, Wesleyan and Bates – all won their league games by at least eight goals.

The other, Williams, took a spring break trip to Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned wins over MIT (16-9) and host Colorado College (19-9).

That sets up a quick turnaround matchweek highlighted by two clashes of the titans – Wesleyan at Amherst, and Williams at Tufts – plus a rivalry game (Bates at Bowdoin). All those games will be played Wednesday and, when finished, give a little more clarity to the league’s top tier.
