With conference tournament season nearly upon us, several of New England’s teams are in a good place and jockeying for position.

UMass and Boston University look to ride their respective hot streaks into the postseason, while Yale could set up an Ivy League rematch with Penn, and Sacred Heart is making a big push in the Northeast Conference.

Vermont and Holy Cross will look to get right before their tournament tilts, and Quinnipiac is preparing for a bid for back-to-back MAAC crowns.

This week’s Players of the Week include a Terrier trophy winner, a shutdown long-stick midfielder and a sharp-shooting freshman from Canada.
