With a glance across the college lacrosse landscape, it quickly becomes apparent that New England prep and public school programs have long produced top goalies.
Phil Goss, an All-American at Brown, attended prep powerhouse Deerfield Academy. Current Virginia freshman Patrick Burkinshaw (Madison, Conn.), a former Brunswick School star, was just named ACC Defensive Player of the Week. Current Duke starter Turner Uppgren is a former star at Choate Rosemary Hall.
The list goes on and on.
