Top 10: Amherst, Middlebury rising as NESCAC semifinals near

As conference tournaments head toward their semifinal rounds this week, most of the usual suspects are accounted for.

With one notable absence.

Middlebury knocked off Wesleyan in the NESCAC quarterfinals, 11-7, last weekend for the shock of the postseason, though more could follow suit soon. Throughout New England, some No. 1 seeds wary of that possibility are Tufts (NESCAC), Coast Guard (NEWMAC), Keene State (Little East) and Western New England (Commonwealth Coast).
