This time around, all eyes are on Syracuse’s Grace Fahey

Grace Fahey (Boxford, Mass.) was as prolific a goal-scorer as there was on the North Shore when she played at Masconomet Regional High School.

The midfielder could dominate with her combination of height, reach, speed, strength and field vision that she turned into 185 goals, 156 assists and a scoring standard still unmatched in program history.

Fahey's physical skills and knowledge of the game earned her a Division 1 scholarship to perennial national power Syracuse University.

Yet, to earn a regular spot on the turf there she needed to accept a different role than she said she always thought she’d have at the next level.
