Lacrosse, to put it mildly, is an important piece of Jack Piatelli’s life. He was an All-American at Springfield College and played professionally with the Boston Blazers. He then passed the game on to his children: Julianne, John and Brian.
John (Wrentham, Mass.), a rising senior and honorable mention All-American at Cornell, said his memories of playing lacrosse go back as far as he can remember, and his favorite memories involve his family and, specifically, his brother, Brian, who also plays at Cornell.
“One funny picture we have is when we were pretty young,” he said. “My sister, my brother, and I all played on the same team because Brian played up on my team, and my sister came to practices. We didn’t have girls lacrosse at Wrentham, so she came to the boys’ practice and suited up and played with us."
