Players like Brian Tevlin of Yale will need to lead in a way their predecessors did not.
The Ivy League announced last week that its eight members would not participate in intercollegiate sports until the conclusion of the fall semester. It plans to issue guidelines on a phased approach to conditioning and practice activities, to allow for individual and small group workouts and practice sessions, if public health conditions permit.
Tevlin is one of a handful of men and women elected captains for next year for the Ivy League’s four New England schools. An Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention Preseason All-American in 2020, the rising senior midfielder has played in every game but two since arriving on campus.
