In March of 2020, before the pandemic turned the lacrosse world sideways, the creation of the first end-of-season playoff in the Independent School League was a topic on many tongues.
Now, two years later, the anticipated playoff is finally about to become a reality.
With the ISL’s 16 teams set to play full seasons for the first time in three years, the next campaign will be capped by a two-tiered playoff that will conclude on the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend.
“This is a really exciting year, one that in many ways is three years in the making,” said Matt Rowley, the coach at Noble and Greenough.
