Next summer in San Diego, 30 national teams will gather for the FIL World Championship.
One, from the Czech Republic, is coached by Brian Witmer, a former SUNY-Brockport player who went on to play with the Vermont Voyageurs, and has established himself as one of the most impactful American coaches working abroad to develop the sport in Europe.
New England Lacrosse Journal connected with Witmer to talk about his globetrotting coaching journey, the opportunities for American players overseas, and much more.
