Due to safety and health concerns related to the recent surge in cases of COVID-19, US Lacrosse announced Thursday that it has postponed the upcoming tryouts for the U.S. women’s national team.
A total of 50 players, including a dozen with ties to New England, had been invited to the tryouts, which were scheduled to be hosted at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., from Dec. 4-6.
The tryouts will be the first phase of naming the squad that will represent the United States at the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship, hosted by US Lacrosse at Towson (Md.) University in the summer of 2021.
