Fifty-one weeks ago, college and pro sports -- almost across the board -- began getting cancelled due to the novel coronavirus.
Teams in the 16-team Independent School League watched the developments unfold along with everyone else. First there was hope that the crisis would pass and the spring would return to normal.
Then reality set in. Seasons were cancelled. Summers were altered. Fall arrived and the country was deeper into the pandemic than ever.
