Unlike many of its peers, the boys lacrosse team at Tabor Academy did get a chance to start its season when it made a trip to Florida in the first part of March.
The results were encouraging: wins against a pair of strong Florida teams, Lake Highland Prep and Lake Mary, that saw sophomore Aidan O’Neil tease his blossoming ability by racking up 17 points.
Everyone knows the rest. The Seawolves were still down south when the NCAA canceled seasons, and eventually after returning home they realized they wouldn’t get a chance to build on that solid foundation.
“It showed a lot of promise,” said coach RJ Swift. “The boys were really excited.”
