With the conclusion of the high school seasons across the region, now seems as good a time as any to break down where I will be this summer for New England Lacrosse Journal.
Yes, the second season is upon us all; the summer circuit has actually already started in other parts of the country, but for New England residents, the grind began last weekend and will continue through July.
The recruiting procedure is a long and grueling one, regardless of your school affiliation. Whether you're at the beginning of that journey or the end, club lacrosse has become an integral part of the process to play lacrosse in college.
My coverage goal for this summer is not to seek out the best and brightest standouts who everyone has already heard of. Although occasionally that will happen, the goal is to shine a spotlight on some of the players that might not get all the write-ups and looks that come from other sources. Diamonds aren't found in the rough; they have to be mined from multiple veins of ore.
