The Connecticut Hammerheads announced Thursday the signing of first-round draft pick Michael Kraus (New Canaan, Conn.), the highest draftee signed by a team from Major League Lacrosse during a busy week of roster building.
"I am extremely excited and honored to be a part of the Connecticut Hammerheads," said Kraus, one of the top scorers in University of Virginia history who announced last month he would not be returning to college for a fifth year. "Can't wait to get back out on the field this summer for the Hammerheads' inaugural season. Playing in front of my hometown family and friends is going to be awesome."
The Hammerheads play their home games at Rafferty Stadium on the Fairfield University campus.
