Ohio State coach Nick Myers (Kennebunk, Maine) has invited 30 players to a second training camp this weekend in preparation for next summer’s World Lacrosse U21 World Championship in Limerick, Ireland.
The championship was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed twice due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Myers will oversee the camp this weekend at Ohio State, where the U.S. team will hold practices, compete in a controlled practice with the Buckeyes and play a regulation international game against North Carolina.
“It’s been almost two years since we have gotten together and played outside competition,” said Myers, who led the Team USA U19 team to a gold medal in 2016. “This national team experience and overall process has truly been like no other. We are very grateful for all those at USA Lacrosse and World Lacrosse for making this U21 championship possible.”
