In this series, we evaluate the schedules of New England’s Division 1 men's teams. The region is home to 16 programs, all in a fight to raise their national profile.
In this post, we’re taking a closer look at Dartmouth and breaking down how its return to the full league play meshes with their out-of-conference scheduling.
Last season, the Big Green were one of the few Ivy League teams that were able to play any games after league play was canceled. Those games were against D-3 Tufts and D-2 St. Anselm, but they were games -- they happened -- and were both welcome respites for a squad that was no doubt tired of training and playing against itself all year.
That being said, the Big Green split those contests and had an opportunity to learn a lot about themselves from the film. Those lessons will no doubt be applied to the 2022 squad, which will have its hands full with a challenging schedule, both in the Ivy League and outside of it.
