
In the end, it was a commitment that simply made the most sense for Collin Bergstrom.
After speaking with new Harvard men's lacrosse coach Gerry Byrne, Bergstrom switched his pledge from Brown, which he made last September, to the Crimson this past week. For the Winchester, Mass., native, picking a different Ivy League program wasn’t a tough decision.
"I grew up my whole life within a half an hour of the school, more like 20 minutes," the class of 2020 defenseman said. "That definitely played a role in my decision. I really feel like I have a strong connection to the school. I've been going there for tons of different things my whole life, really. It's a little bit closer to home. I love Boston. Staying in Boston and staying in Massachusetts is definitely a factor in my decision."
