FITCHBURG, Mass. — Last year’s Road 2 Prep showcase had more than 100 players involved in skills, drills and games in front of more than 30 prep school lacrosse coaches.
The event has grown to more than 170 players and 100 prep coaches from 60 schools this year. A girls lacrosse division was also added to the showcase.
With that growth, the showcase has expanded and moved to the fields at the Game On complex in Fitchburg. Nearly every prep school in New England had a representative (and some had two) at the event over the weekend, but which players stood out among the rest?
For clarification, I watched only the high school-aged players at this event. Thus, a third of the participants were not eligible for evaluation as I did not see them play.
