Rivers coach Lisa Parsons praises Annabelle, Mallory Hasselbeck

By Adam KurkjianSeptember 14, 2019

Mallory (2) and Annabelle (left) Hasselbeck look to build on their lacrosse skills.

Both Mallory and Annabelle Hasselbeck of the Rivers School made the Under-17 national development team, as announced by US Lacrosse last week.

They were two of 13 girls with New England ties who made either the U-15 or U-17 rosters.

Their coach, Lisa Parsons, who also coaches with Mass Elite, has known both since the two began playing for the club program.

"(I) met Mallory and Annabelle five years ago as they were 'commuting' to Mass Elite from Indianapolis," Parsons said. "They moved to Weston (Mass.) in the fall of 2016, when Annabelle was starting ninth grade, and Mallory (eighth). I knew that they had an extraordinary work ethic and were amazingly athletic but they were a bit newer to the sport of lacrosse then other kids."
