Three teams in Connecticut’s FCIAC have their eyes set on something beyond just league and Class L titles.
In mid-May, Darien sat atop the USA Lacrosse Top 25 national rankings, with New Canaan (fourth) and Wilton (eighth) not far behind. All three teams are ratcheting up their play as their schedules toughen down the stretch this spring.
Last season, they were three-fourths of the Class L final four; Darien topped Wilton in the semifinals before getting edged by New Canaan in the championship, 14-13.
This season’s conclusion is shaping up to be just as competitive.
