Like the game of lacrosse itself, the marquee rivalries in the Independent School League have evolved over time.
Noble & Greenough vs. St. Sebastian’s. Lawrence vs. Groton. Middlesex vs. Governor’s. St. Seb’s vs. Belmont Hill.
The list goes on. One thing that hasn’t changed is that teams always find it special when they’re trying to take down the teams on top.
Over the last five seasons, all-time leader in titles Belmont Hill (13) and nouveau-riche St. Seb’s have won or shared the title five times. They’ve also developed a quirky head-to-head dynamic, with the road team winning the last four times they’ve played.
