Played at Hofstra University as part of a doubleheader (Georgetown defeated Hofstra in the first game), Harvard came into the game ranked No. 12 in the nation with a 3-0 record, winning each game in overtime, and becoming only the second team in NCAA history to win three consecutive OT games.
