Boston Cannons president Ian Frenette spent the better part of a month traveling back and forth between Massachusetts and Connecticut as the Cannons’ business staff managed operations for both the legacy franchise in Quincy and the new Fairfield-based Hammerheads team.
Frenette spent the last couple of weeks of March spending the better part of his days in his house on conference calls and video conferences with people in Connecticut, and around Major League Lacrosse, as the league looks to put itself in the best position possible when coronavirus pandemic restrictions are hopefully lifted later this spring.
As of late March, the beginning of MLL training camp was still scheduled for May with Boston’s home opener at Quincy’s Veterans Stadium set for June 6.
