As the prevalence of one-handed attackmen has increased over the past decade, two-handed attackmen have quickly become a rarity to find on the recruiting trail for Division 1 programs.
But Quinnipiac was able to land one in New Hampton School’s AJ Amandolare (Hudson, Mass.), who announced his commitment to the Bobcats earlier this fall.
Amandolare starred at St. John’s-Shrewsbury (Mass.) for two seasons and transferred to New Hampton for his junior year.
“I would say AJ is a very deceptive attackman,” said New Hampton coach Ryan Henry. “Something that is really unique about his skill-set is, even though he's a left-handed player, I think he has the ability to finish plays with his right hand, which is really nice.
