There are Georgetown legacies, and then there are Georgetown legacies like Roxbury Latin midfielder Johnny Price (Winchester, Mass.).
Price, a standout junior who committed to the Division 1 power program last week, knows the Washington, D.C., school better than most, and not just because of the lacrosse team.
His great-grandfather – Ed Hargaden – was a basketball star at Georgetown, half a century before John Thompson and Patrick Ewing (Cambridge, Mass.) took that program to the highest of highs, and was part of the university’s first Hall of Fame class.
His grandmother and a great-uncle attended, as did his father, mother and stepmother. His dad, Arthur Price, played on a Georgetown lacrosse team that reached the final four in 1999, losing to Syracuse.
