The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team is perpetually in the news cycle. Their recent coaching hires of Gary Gait, Dave Pietramala and TD Ierlan have certainly pushed it to the top of the headlines.
However, the commitment of John Mullen (Norwell, Mass.) has raised some eyebrows in local lacrosse circles.
Mullen, a Class of 2023 face-off man for Norwell High School, pledged himself to the Orange in late September. Prep players have made up most of the region’s '23 commitments so far, including all three of the other face-off men.
But Mullen has a long history of dominating at the X and has worked with some of the best specialists in the country to hone his skills.
