Georgetown assistant coach John Hogan is a Deerfield Academy alumnus. He returned to his former school to meet with a few prospective recruits, and he liked all of them, saying they were really good kids.
While Deerfield head coach Chip Davis didn’t think all three would commit to Georgetown, he felt optimistic at least one would.
“This is going to pay off for you,” Davis told Hogan.
That payoff came in the form of midfielder Griffin Cepiel (Concord, N.H.).
