The Northeast Conference (NEC) will return -- but what does it mean for all of the teams in New England?
Last Thursday, NEC commissioner Noreen Morris announced that the conference will be sponsoring men’s lacrosse for the 2024-25 academic year.
The NEC is the former longtime home of Sacred Heart and Bryant, as well as the recent home of Merrimack after it ascended to Division 1 status.
The new-look NEC will include seven teams: Detroit Mercy, Le Moyne, Long Island University, Merrimack, Sacred Heart, VMI and Wagner.
