Colby College finally has its new head coach and it is one of the more surprising hires of the offseason.
After several months of searching, the Mules decided on former Maryland and Vermont assistant Jake Bernhardt as the man to take over the program after former head coach Guy Van Arsdale left at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
Bernhardt comes to Colby after serving as an assistant coach for his alma mater, the University of Maryland, last season.
He is also a midfielder for the PLL's Whipsnakes and was a key part of Vermont's coaching staff for six seasons prior to 2023.
