From his home in Hingham, Mass., like many lacrosse dads, Tom Egan had his spring all scheduled.
A big scorer at the University of Vermont a generation ago, he’s been a proud father these last few years as two of his sons have gone through Hingham High School on their own way to UVM.
Before the COVID-19 outbreak shut down sports completely, he was planning his spring around his sons’ lacrosse games, whether it was driving up to Burlington, Vt., to watch oldest son Charlie or seeing where middle son George, a standout senior goalie, would be playing with Hingham.
Best laid plans.
