The notion freshmen have to wait to get playing time is antiquated. Good first-year players get the same chance at the Division 1 level as they do in high school, and the leap is shorter than in years past.
To that end, Hans Huber (Stowe, Vt.) has been getting more and more time on the field for Bucknell. Deployed in several different ways by the Bison, he’s found a way to make an impact in each role.
To anyone who saw him play at Holderness, or in the summer for 4 Leaf, that’s not a surprise. A whirling bundle of energy and power, Huber was always going to find a way.
He has played in all 10 games for Bucknell (3-7) and ranks fifth on the team with 10 goals.
