The playoff game against the Rochester Knighthawks could not have gotten off to a worse start for the New England Black Wolves.
The Knighthawks got on the board first, just over one minute into the contest, on a goal by Austin Shanks. They scored three more goals to jump out to a 4-0 lead.
Rochester opened things up even more in the second quarter, outscoring New England 7-2 and going into halftime with a 11-4 lead.
The Black Wolves were down but not out.
