The first round of preseason men’s lacrosse All-Americans dropped last week. USA Lacrosse was the first to release its picks and those will be followed by other media outlets as the Division 1 season is just around the corner.
Let’s break down some of the regional inclusions and maybe some players that didn't make the first three teams that should have.
The first name that jumps off the page is Yale attackman Matt Brandau. Generally regarded as the most complete attackman in the country, as Brandau goes, so will the Bulldogs.
Sophomore attackman Leo Johnson (Greenwich, Conn.) was also named to the honorable mention list, but he could end the season on a proper team if he and his Yale team break out this spring.
