Nestled in the lower area of the Lakes Region, Proctor Academy is a private, co-ed boarding school that has a new boys lacrosse coach.
Zachary Zavalick (Glastonbury, Conn.) starred at Loomis Chaffee before continuing his lacrosse career at Wesleyan. A face-off specialist, Zavalick was the main man at the X for the Cardinals for all four years of his career, winning the NCAA championship as a sophomore in 2018.
After graduating from Wesleyan, Zavalick immediately went into coaching as an assistant at Proctor in 2020. He left for a brief stint at Taft in 2021 and was recently hired back at Proctor to be the head coach of the boys lacrosse team.
We sat down with Zavalick to talk about his career, and what drew him back to Proctor and the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
