Gillette Stadium, home of the NFL's New England Patriots and New England Revolution of MLS, is no stranger to lacrosse.
The stadium in Foxborough, Mass., has become a beacon for the NCAA's biggest lacrosse event – the Final Four on Memorial Day weekend. It's hosted five NCAA championships since 2008, holds the overall championship attendance record (48,970) and lays claim to the championship single-game attendance record (30,816).
Now, professional lacrosse is returning to Gillette Stadium with opening weekend of the Premier Lacrosse League. The upstart professional league's first three games will take place there on June 1 and June 2.
