The Premier Lacrosse League semifinals took place at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.
After two closely contested games, it was the Waterdogs and Chaos, two teams with strong New England ties, which emerged victorious and earned their spot in the championship game.
Those New England ties are particularly visible on the two coaching staffs. Waterdogs head coach Andy Copelan was the head coach at Fairfield University from 2008-19. He also still coaches in the state of Connecticut, as the head coach at Greenwich Country Day School.
The defending champion Chaos are led by Andy Towers, a native of New Canaan, Conn., who earned All-Ivy and All-American honors as a player at Brown.
