After a bye week to separate the opening rounds of the playoffs from the semis, the Premier League Lacrosse playoffs are back.
Thayer Academy head coach Ben Rubeor will lead Atlas LC against Andy Towers’ (New Canaan, Conn.) upstart Chaos LC squad in the first semifinal on Sunday. In the second semi, former Fairfield coach Andy Copelan will direct the top-ranked Waterdogs LC squad against the two-time PLL champion Whipsnakes LC.
The PLL's third season of playoffs features four teams that are largely guided by the hands of New England area coaches, but populated with players from all over the country.
Unlike seasons past, there is no real favorite as each of these four teams has an Achilles heel that can be exploited by their opponent. The Whipsnakes aren't going to walk to the final again. At least, that's not the most likely outcome.
