Last night the Premier Lacrosse League held its college entry draft in Bristol, Conn., at ESPN’s studios. The event was live, which is a first for the league as previous drafts were tape-delayed.
As expected, the first overall pick in the 2024 PLL draft was Duke’s Brennan O’Neill. One of the most unstoppable scorers in college lacrosse saw his stock skyrocket when he was dominant for Team USA among a crowd of pros.
In the past few seasons, O’Neill has been key to the Blue Devils’ success and was tabbed as a can't-miss prospect for the Denver Outlaws, who were formerly known as Chrome LC.
The rest of the draft unfolded without a lot of mystery.
