Last night, the Premier Lacrosse League held its fourth NCAA entry draft.
With eight teams and 19 gameday roster spots, teams were looking to freshen up their rosters more than completely overhaul them. That being said, teams still did their best to spice up the talent allocation with some shocking picks.
The most shocking development of the draft was Chrome head coach Tim Soudan selecting do-it-all Maryland attackman Logan Wisnauskas with the first overall pick. As a result of that shock selection, former Boston University attackman, and now NCAA record holder for career points, Chris Gray fell to the Atlas at pick No. 2.
The move tilted the draft trajectory for multiple teams, as attackman Matt Moore fell to the Archers, and Brendan Nichtern and Asher Nolting dropped into the second round. With attack being the most stacked position in the entire league, other teams focused on getting the top players at yeoman's positions like LSM and SSDM.
