One season away | Where D-3 leagues stand on winter sports

It’s been 7½ months since the college sports world came to a halt due to COVID-19, prematurely ending NCAA winter championships and ending lacrosse seasons that were just getting started.

The COVID dial is swinging back around to winter, and already some Division 3 leagues are making changes in response to the ongoing pandemic.

With an eye on next spring, here is the latest info on where Division 3 leagues stand in regard to winter sports. Practices typically begin in February for D-3 lacrosse teams, with seasons beginning in late February/early March.

Editor’s note: Schools’ men’s and women’s lacrosse teams can compete in different conferences, which is why some schools are listed twice.
