‘One of the best Americans to ever play in this league’

With excitement, Black Wolves captain Brett Manney said, "That's my boy," when asked about Joe Resetarits.

In March of 2019, hoping to add talent and veteran experience to the roster during a playoff push, the Black Wolves traded a 2022 first-round pick and 2019 second-round pick to the Rochester Knighthawks for Resetarits.

While it can be difficult for players to adjust to a new team in the middle of the season, Manney knew he would be a great addition to the locker room. He had known Resetarits for a number of years thanks to their time on the United States national team together, and he knew of him even longer than that because he played with his brother, Frank, on the San Jose Stealth in 2009.
