Northeast Conference preview: Balanced Merrimack eyes results

Even as the calendar moves toward February, there is still uncertainty about what shape Division 1 lacrosse seasons will take. While some teams in the regions have released schedules, and some conferences have set dates and sites for postseason tournaments, many schools and leagues have not.

Over the next two weeks, and in the upcoming issue of New England Lacrosse Journal, we will preview every team in New England, by conference, and unveil, team by team, our preseason top 10.

Leading off the men's preview is the Northeast Conference. Merrimack was hoping for a bigger haul in its first D-1 season after winning back-to-back D-2 championships, and could be poised for that this year.
