NEEDHAM, Mass. -- It was a frenzied finish in the first round of the Independent School League championship tournament as St. Sebastian's knocked off the two-time defending champion, Noble and Greenough, on Wednesday, 16-11.
The two rival schools, separated by just a mile, proved once again that there is no love lost between either team.
The game began with a shaky unease, with both teams trying to find their footing in the first quarter. Having played just four days prior, in which the second-seeded Arrows won 10-8, both teams were hungry for the rematch.
The tension broke as St. Sebastian's sophomore attackman, Tedy Frisoli, netted the first goal. But Nobles was quick to answer, as junior attack Colin Kenney netted the first of the three goals he’d score on the day.
