The Boston Cannons were not simply looking for a place to play their home games.

The Cannons were looking for a new home for outdoor lacrosse in New England.

They found it eight miles south of Boston at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy, Mass.

The team and the city announced a partnership Dec. 4 to bring the Major League Lacrosse franchise to Quincy as part of what both the team and the city view as a long-term partnership that will be the centerpiece of the team’s lacrosse activities both in and out of season, while also bringing upgrades to the stadium that will benefit Quincy’s high school and youth teams.
