
While the Division 3 season has kicked off in less frosty climates, the lacrosse world up north still awaits the debut of the NESCAC.
Last season four teams from the NESCAC made the NCAA tournament: Wesleyan, Bowdoin, Middlebury and Tufts. The Jumbos would go on to win the D-3 title, while the fortunes of the other three teams vacillated between a first-round upset (Wesleyan) to an appearance in the final four (Bowdoin).
This spring, several teams will have one eye on the league and the other on the NCAAs. Others will be looking at improving their station in the league, and another grouping -- the sleepers -- will have to be content to play spoiler across the bulk of their schedule.
