The cream of the crop is starting to separate in the Independent School League – yet again.
That's one of the biggest storylines this week from the prep school landscape, as there looks to be a core five as the teams to beat: St. Sebastian's, Rivers, Governor's Academy, Brooks and Belmont Hill. The only true surprise has come with Nobles, which has struggled out of the gate after being co-champions in 2018.
Elsewhere, Pingree is dominating in the Eastern Independent League, the west has three perennial powers leading the way (per usual), and the Lakes Region League seems wide open with New Hampton faltering and Brewster Academy climbing back to the top.
Mindful of that, here's how the upper end of the NEPSAC landscape is shaping up this week.
