It’s already been a busy January in the Northeast-10 Conference.
As teams prepare for an as-yet-undetermined start to the spring season, men’s and women’s teams from St. Anselm College and Southern New Hampshire have chosen the players that will lead them into the action.
Seniors Griffin Shoemaker (Shirley, Mass.) and Matt Ward (Shrewsbury, Mass.) were selected as captains for the St. Anselm men.
A midfielder, Shoemaker is a first-time team captain. In the pandemic-shortened 2020 season that finished with a record of 3-0, he totaled six goals and ranked second on the team with 13 groundballs.
